CAMDEN — West Bay Rotary in Camden was “feeling thankful” May 27, after they released 3,500 rubber ducks from the back deck of the Smiling Cow, and from there they floated over the falls and into Camden Harbor, where the winners were plucked from the water in a race to the finish.

According to Rotarian Sandy Cox, all but a few ducks were captured by other Rotarians and volunteers out on the water to scoop them back up.

“We had a few escape, and they were last seen headed for Curtis Island,” said Cox.
