Homecoming Week at CHRHS

Camden Hills announces athletic homecoming schedule

Tue, 09/27/2016 - 8:30am

ROCKPORT — Camden Hills Regional High School is pleased to announce the 2016 Homecoming schedule. This year’s homecoming theme will be “Our Past, Present and Future.” CHRHS would like to especially encourage all future students from Appleton, Camden, Hope, Lincolnville, Rockport and St. George to attend our festivities in your current sports uniform for those that are playing on a fall sports team, a press release stated.

A parade of our future students will be held on the Don Palmer field at half time of the girls varsity soccer game at approximately 1:40 p.m.

Homecoming is a community event and both home and away fans and friends are invited.

We have a full slate of events and games planned that highlight our fall athletic teams and many of our very talented musicians.

In addition to all the athletic events, all attendees will enjoy a free barbeque lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with free snow cones, and for kids under the age of 10 the free use of a bouncy house. The school provides the hamburgers and hot dogs, but we do rely on community members to bring side dishes to share with their neighbors and friends. Side dishes can be dropped off at the “tent” located next to the Don Palmer Field as early as 10 a.m. and as late as 2 p.m.

Camden Hills Regional HS is able to provide this opportunity free to the public courtesy of a generous grant that supports our school. It is our way of building goodwill and giving back to the communities that support us.

Any questions concerning the 2016 homecoming can be directed to the Athletic Director Steve Alex at 236-7800 ext. 414 or email steve.alex@fivetowns.net.

In the event of poor weather, guests are encouraged to call the Athletic Sports Hotline at 236-7800 option 2 for updates.

As a reminder, only service animals are allowed on the CHRHS campus.

Spirit Week and Homecoming is proudly hosted by the CHRHS Student Council and Captain’s Council.
