The Points North Institute/Camden International Film Festival has received a Special Event Grant of $50,000 from the Maine Office of Tourism. The festival has set goals to achieve 25 percent growth in non-resident ticket sales and 30 percent overall growth in attendance.

The Camden International Film Festival will be held September 14 - 17  in Camden, Rockport and Rockland.

The intent of the MTMPP Special Event Grant program is to fund major events that have an impact on travel to at least two or more regions, and/or generate national and/or international press coverage for the state. The events need to demonstrate multi-regional and/or statewide economic impact by drawing tourism related activities to the state from beyond Maine’s borders as well as internally, according to grant specifications.
