Busline small school hoops in full swing

The winter sports season is upon us already and the small school basketball teams are already on the hardwood with their season in full swing.
 
The small school division of the Busline League involves local schools, Appleton, Hope, Lincolnville, Islesboro and Vinalhaven.
 
Coaches are encouraged to send results and scores to sports@penbaypilot.com.
 
Many schools return to the floor this week as the Thanksgiving break comes to a close and the season resumes.
 
Previous Boys Games
Vinalhaven 37, Searsport A 30… The Viking boys pulled out a hard fought win over Searsport A Nov. 13 at Vinalhaven.
 
Scoring for Vinalhaven were, Joe Hopkins with 20 points; Tim Farrelly eight; Alec Radley five; and Adam Dyer and Mike Michaud two each.
 
For Searsport A, Daegan Moody had eight points; Colby Snow seven; Dylan O’Brien six; Gabe Kneeland four; Gabe Poulin three; and Brandon Littlefield one.

Vinalhaven 12 8 13 4 = 37
 
Vinalhaven 66, Searsport B 25 … The Vinalhaven boys picked up another win Nov. 14 over the visitor Searsport B. 
 
Scoring for Vinalhaven were, Joe Hopkins with 24 points; Adam Dyer 10; Alec bradley nine; Tim Farrelly and Mike Michaud six each; Connor Lazaro five; and Robbie Swears, Sam Wentworth and Lincoln Dennison two each.
 
For Searsport B, Josh Wright had 10 points; Cody Reynolds seven; Kevin Bell four; and Spencer Philbrook and Alic Flagg two each.

Lincolnville 48, Appleton 13… The Lincolnville boys picked up an impressive win over Appleton Nov. 18 at home.
 
Scoring for Lincolnville were, Owen Markowitz with 15 points; Sam Luft 12; Braden Moulton 11; Simon Polk eight, and Hayden Marino two. 
 
For Appleton, Logan Odone had six points; Cody Pascal five; and Toby Byrd two.

Vinalhaven 44, Islesboro 33… At Islesboro, the Vikings made the journey from one island to another and back, making four ferryboat trips in one day to play two games. 
 
The Vinalhaven boys made it feel worth their while, winning the first of two games Saturday, Nov. 21. 
 
Scoring for the Vikings were; Joe Hopkins with 26 points; Adam Dyer 10 and Tim Farrelly eight. 
 
For Islesboro, Chase Sanders had 23 points; and Luke Barron, Charlie Jagger, Mitiky Yeatts, Chase Cook and Elliot Anderson had two each.

Vinalhaven 46, Islesboro 24… In the second game of the doubleheader the Viking boys again came out on top. 
 
Scoring for Vinalhaven were, Joe Hopkins with 23 points; Adam Dyer nine; Tim Farrelly six; and M.J. Augusto and Connor Lazaro four each.
 
For Islesboro, Charlie Jagger had eight points; Mitiky Yeatts six; Julian Kelly four; and Sam Jagger, Chase Cook and Elliot Anderson two each.

Vinalhaven 57, Appleton 21… On Nov. 24 Appleton traveled to Vinalhaven for a regurlly scheduled game.
 
Scoring for Vinalhaven was, Joe Hopkins with 22 points; Alec Radley 12; Tim Farrelly and Adam Dyer six each; M.J. Augusto four; Mike Michaud three; and Connor Lazaro and Lincoln Dennison two each.
 
For Appleton, Cody Pascal had 10 points; Joby Byrd six; Myles Kelly and Ian Dionne two each; and Logan Odone one.

Lincolnville 44, Appleton 23… the Lincolnville girls picked up a home win over visiting Appleton Nov. 18.
 
Scoring for Lincolnville were, Miranda Dunton had 20 points; Kristina Kelly 14; Hope Osgood six; and Angel Freeman four.
 
For Appleton, McKenna Maxwell had 11 points; Amy Kunzinger and Lauren Linscott four each; Hayleigh Martz and Ava Pratt two each.
