BELFAST — The Annual Belfast Ice Festival returns February 23, 24, and 25, 2024, and will welcome nearly 2,000 visitors, according to the Festival, in a news release.

The streets will be lined with ice carvings of animals, favorite characters, and photo opportunities. There will also be ice bars and promotions at local restaurants. The weekend will also offer many free, family-friendly activities with most of them on Saturday, February 24. There will be horse-drawn carriage rides, a children’s activity area, sledding, and the 3rd Annual State of Maine Ice Carving Championship.

Our Town Belfast is looking for businesses and/or community members to sponsor the 20 ice carvings that will be placed around for public viewing. Your business name/logo will be placed on a sign at the sculpture location. To sponsor a sculpture, please complete this form. There are many options to choose from but if you have an idea that is not on the list, Our Town Belfast will be happy to work with you to make it happen.

If you would like to be a weekend sponsor, please email director@ourtownbelfast.org to discuss options. As a weekend sponsor, you will join Waldo County General Hospital and your name/logo will be on all online and printed materials.

The 3rd Annual State of Maine Ice Carving Championship, sponsored by Rollie’s Bar & Grill and Rollie’s Remote Catering, will take place on Saturday, February 24, from 1 - 3 p.m. Competitors can be amateur or professional but must bring their own tools. First, second, and third place will win cash prizes of $100, $75, and $50 respectively. To enter the competition, please complete this form.
