ROCKPORT: Tuesday, June 9th Maine Coast Heritage Trust invites the public to a Volunteer Orientation from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Aldermere Farm at 20 Russell Avenue in Rockport. Individuals who are new to the volunteer community at Aldermere Farm and the Erickson Fields Preserve and returning volunteers are welcome. The orientation will cover the history of these community preserves and the variety of year-round volunteer positions.  Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and socialize over appetizers with friends and neighbors old and new. This is a casual event for staff and regular volunteers to gather for an informal introduction and discussion about specific needs to fill, such as volunteering regularly at Aldermere’s Visitor’s Center, site maintenance and gardening at the Erickson Fields, and assisting at annual events and programs throughout the year.
