This empowering event invites women of all backgrounds and skill levels to step onto the construction site, learn new skills, and make a tangible difference in our community.

Location: Compass Point, Rockport, Maine (on Rte One across from Rockport Automotive)

Women Build 2026 will take place at Compass Point, Midcoast Habitat’s new 10-home pocket neighborhood in Rockport. This thoughtfully designed community will provide safe, energy-efficient, permanently affordable homes for families earning 30–80% of area median income.

Volunteers will work alongside Habitat staff, future homeowners, and skilled professionals to help move construction forward.

Each build day includes morning and afternoon volunteer shifts, allowing individuals or teams to choose the time that works best.

No Experience Needed

Never picked up a hammer before? No problem.

Midcoast Habitat staff and experienced volunteers provide guidance throughout the day. Women Build is designed to be welcoming and supportive for first-time builders.

All tools, safety equipment, and training are provided.
