Tuesday, June 14 Maine Coast Heritage Trust (MCHT) invites the public to an informational gathering/trivia night for new and returning volunteers from 5:30-6:30 PM at Aldermere Farm, 20 Russell Ave, Rockport. MCHT staff will present exciting volunteer opportunities at Aldermere Farm and Erickson Fields Preserve, both MCHT preserves in Rockport that run educational sustainable agriculture programs, including Teen Ag and Farm Hands. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, socialize over appetizers, and play a game of trivia testing their knowledge of Rockport and the history of these community preserves. This is a casual event for staff and anyone interested in volunteering to gather for an informal introduction and discussion about specific needs to fill, such as gardening, working as a farm hand, staffing Aldermere’s Visitor’s Center, delivering fresh produce to food panties and assisting at annual events and programs throughout the year.
