Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) vs Activities of Daily Living (ADL)

Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL) is considered those activities which are less basic than the traditional ADL’s; activities such as shopping, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and taking clients to and from medical appointments.

Traditional ADL include bathing, dressing, assistance with eating, brushing teeth, and the like.
