On Tuesday, August 19 from 9-11am, the Belfast Co-op is sponsoring a vegetable seed saving workshop with Jon Thurston at Troy Howard Middle School, 173 Lincolnville Ave (Rte 52) in Belfast. This free interactive workshop will provide an overview of seed saving and include hands-on time in the garden.

Jon Thurston is the Agricultural Coordinator of the Garden Project at Troy Howard Middle School, co-founder of the Heirloom Seed Project at Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro, and a 21-year member of Seed Savers Exchange.
