Mary Heal, obituary
CAMDEN — Mary E. Heal, 71, of Camden, died May 25, 2014, at Pen Bay Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Born in Portland on July 4, 1942, she was the daughter of William J. and Maggie F. (Sewall) Johnson. She was a graduate of Rockland High School and attended the University of Maine. On Sept. 6, 1958, she married Orman O. Heal.
Mary retired from Tibbetts Industries, where she was employed for more than 30 years. She enjoyed reading, knitting and watching old movies. Mary looked forward to camping, planning family gatherings, and attending activities and sporting events that her children and grandchildren participated in.
She was predeceased by her husband, Orman O. Heal Sr.; and a son, Eric Heal. Surviving are her six children, Ricky Heal Sr. and his wife, Maria; Orman O. Heal Jr. and his wife, Karen; Toby Heal and his wife, Rebecca, all of Warren; Keith Heal of Camden; Katie Sullivan and her husband, James, of Woolwich; and Lorri Butler of Thomaston; 12 grandchildren, Chris Bibeau, Jennifer Cheetham, Wesley Butler, Ricky Heal Jr., Amanda Heal, Megan Sullivan, Eric P. Heal, Marissa Heal, Kaitlin Jacob, Caleb Jacob, Morgan Heal amd Wyatt Heal; her great-granddaughter, Olivia Doughty; and a step-granddaughter, Ariana Cloutier. She is also survived by two sisters, Katie Wiley and her companion, Richard Merrifield, and Betty Heal; her brother-in-law, Robert R. Heal and his wife, Lucille; her sister-in-law, Gertrude Cunningham; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 10 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Camden.
