Marion Osden, obituary
WARREN — Marion L. Osden, 78, died June 1, 2014, at Country Manor in Coopers Mills, after an extended illness.
Born in Industry on July 6, 1935, she was the daughter of Lewis S. and Elizabeth M. Tingley Oliver. Educated in Industry schools, she later earned a GED diploma from Farmington High School.
After moving to Connecticut, she earned certification as a certified nurse's assistant at Connecticut General Hospital in New Britain. She later worked as a CNA at New Britain General Hospital as well as area nursing homes. Returning to Maine, Marion worked at Fairview–Redington Hospital in Skowhegan and Maple Crest Manor in Madison.
For several years Marion volunteered with Senior Spectrum in Rockland. She was a past Salvation Army Soldier. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed doing crafts, wallpapering, working in her vegetable gardens and quiet times at home listening to music.
Other than her parents, Marion was predeceased by her siblings, Gladys, Everett, William and Thayley Raye; and one grandchild, Maryann Elizabeth. She is survived by three sons, Richard J. Walauski Jr. of Bristol, Conn., Tony L. Walauski and his wife, Lynne, of Swanville, and James R. Osden-Charron and his partner, Nelson Albert Charron, of Phoenix, Ariz.; one daughter, Pamela M. Tilton of Anson; one brother, Charles A. Oliver of West Farmington; one sister-in-law, Patricia Oliver of Jackman; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as extended loving family and friends at Country Manor.
No services will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Coastal Opportunities, P.O. Box 637, Camden, ME 04843.
