SEARSPORT — Mabel Frances McNeal passed away peacefully May 21, 2014. Teri (as she preferred to be called) was born in Presque Isle in Aroostook County on Aug. 4, 1932.

She is survived by her brother, Dale Theriault of Maine; and her son, Donald McNeal; her daughter, Karen McNeal; and her son-in-law, John Pangiochi, all of Searsport. Teri is the proud grandmother of Justin, Joshua, Kaitlyn and Samuel Clark, as well as Christopher McNeal and his wife, Danielle, Heather McNeal Datta and her husband, Sunny, Laura McNeal Downs and Bryan McNeal. Her great grandchildren include Zandra Downs, Guilianna and Alexandria Clark and Riley McNeal. Other surviving family include many nieces and nephews, all very much loved by "Aunt Mae."

Mabel was a hard worker all of her life, concluding a long, successful career in the late 1990s as a human resources director for AAFES in Rome, N.Y., and Leominister, Mass.

She will be laid to rest in Grove Cemetery in Belfast on June 2, attended by a small gathering of immediate family.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family respectfully requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
