Knox County Sheriff’s beat: Driving to endanger, drug possession, theft
The Knox County Sheriff's office received 733 calls for service from March 16- April 2, 2016. Those calls that are not listed below include agency assists, animal problems, bail and warrant checks, business and residential alarms, business and residential property checks, check-ins, citizen assists, civil disputes, crisis interventions, death investigations, nuisances complaints, court paper service, motor vehicle crashes, police information, school visits, suspicious persons and circumstances, traffic hazards, and traffic stops. An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
March 16
Deputy Nathaniel Jack, Detective Donald Murray, and Sgt. John Palmer responded to the report of a domestic assault in Union. Jack arrested Amy Gray, 48, of Union, for domestic violence assault, criminal speed, driving to endanger, failure to stop for an officer, passing a roadblock, eluding an officer, and operating under the influence.
March 18
Deputy Arthur Smith responded to the report of a burglary in South Thomaston. The incident is under investigation.
Deputy Paul Pinkham responded to the report of a theft in Warren. The incident is under investigation.
Deputy Robert Potter responded to the report of a domestic on Vinalhaven. The incident is under investigation.
Following a traffic stop in Vinalhaven, Potter summoned Joshua Anthony, 35, of Matinicus, for operating after suspension.
Deputy Spear, Smith, Detective Dwight Burtis, Sgt. Matthew Elwell, Sgt. Patrick Polky, Palmer, Lt. Reginald Walker, and Chief Deputy Timothy Carroll responded to the report of a fatal traffic crash in Washington. The incident is under investigation.

Joslyn, Spear, and Mitchell responded to the report of drug activity in St. George. Joslyn arrested Jacob Mondello, 21, of So. Thomaston, for trafficking in schedule W drugs, probation violation, and one active arrest warrant.
