Waldoboro Police beat: Arrest warrant, stolen cash, attempted identity theft
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 112 calls for service from Jan. 4-11. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Jan. 6
Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that someone attempted to steal his identity.
Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen that someone stole money from her.
Cody Beal, 21, of Damariscotta, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for speed and uninspected vehicle.
Jan. 7
Todd Avery, 40, of Warren, was arrested by Hesseltine on a warrant.
Hesseltine investigated an accident on Union Road. Amelia Bragg, 27, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2006 Dodge sedan. The vehicle was traveling southbound following the roadway, and the driver reported that she struck something in the roadway and went back but was unable to locate anything. Later in the morning, a deceased dog was found on the side of the road. No injuries were reported.
Joseph Roy, 28, of Rockland, was arrested by Hesseltine on a warrant.

Chief William Labombarde is investigating a report from a citizen of criminal mischief to the door of her business.
