One arrested, one re-arrested following Crystal Lake Road incident
WASHINGTON — Knox County Sheriff's deputies were called to a Crystal Lake Road residence in Washington around 9 a.m. Sunday to assist in locating an injured man who had disappeared.
Chief Deputy Tim Carroll said the call originated as an assist to Union Ambulance, which was responding to a report of a 21-year-old male vomiting and bleeding profusely from a wound on his head. The cause of the injury was unkown, according to Carroll in a press release Sunday.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that in addition to the male disappearing, there were three outstanding warrants for his arrest. Following a brief search, deputies Robert Palmer and Paul Spear saw Travis Condon exit a nearby residence. The deputies chased Condon on foot into the woods, where he was placed under arrest and taken to Pen Bay Medical Center, in Rockport, for treatment of his head injury.
Condon was treated at the hospital and released. He was subsequently arrested on the three warrants, and also charged with refusing to submit to arrest, possession of scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release.
Further investigation into the incident revealed that another occupant inside the home earlier stated Condon wasn't there. That person, Felicia Glidden, 19, of Washington, allegedly told a deputy that she knew Condon had arrest warrants and she "didn't want him to get arrested," according to the release.
Glidden, who was on bail for violating bail conditions, was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension, possession of liquor by a minor and violating of conditions of release.
In addition to Knox County Sheriff's Office, a Lincoln County Sheriff's deputy and officers from Waldoboro Police and Maine Marine Patrol responded to assist on Crystal Lake Road, according to Carroll.
