Waldoboro Police beat: Cab fare, medication and ice thefts
WALDOBORO - Waldoboro police responded to 229 calls for service from April 27-May 4. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
April 27
Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a resident about the possible theft of identity.
Officer Thomas Bartunek arrested Leona Cocco, 41, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.
April 28
Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a complaint from a resident that she is being harassed.
Officer John Lash is investigating a report from a resident of unwanted subjects.
April 29
Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of money.
Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a report from a resident that she was being harassed. The subject was found and warned on harassment.
April 30
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a resident that a lock on his shed was forced open. It is unknown if anything is missing.
May 1
Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated an accident on Atlantic Highway, at 12:19 p.m. Christina Owens, 30, of Portland, was driving a 2014 Subaru sedan and Gregory Hauptli, 30, of Quebec City, was driving a 2014 Toyota sedan. Owens failed to come to a stop on Atlantic Highway and struck Hauptli’s vehicle in the rear. No injuries were reported.

Officer Andrew Santheson is investigating a report from a resident of the theft of her medication.

Officer John Lash is investigating a $120 cab fare theft report.

Sergeant Jamie Wilson is investigating a report of the theft of a bag of ice.
