Rockland crash attributed to alcohol

ROCKLAND — A Rockland man drove into a stand of trees, destroying his truck, and was subsequently issued a summons for operating under the influence.
At 1:22 a.m., Oct. 27, Mark Kelly, 45, of Rockland, was driving his 2004 Ford pickup on Pleasant Street in Rockland. As he approached a curve, he missed the turn and drove into the trees and then into a ditch.
Kelly was transported to Pen Bay Medical Center for minor injuries. According to Rockland Police, he admitted to driving impaired and consuming alcohol.
Police also reported that he was driving too fast for conditions.
