I-95 Southbound paving work between Fairfield and Augusta begins May 4

KENNEBEC and SOMERSET COUNTIES — The Maine Department of Transportation will be making pavement improvements on parts of I-95 Southbound in Augusta, Benton, Fairfield, Sidney, and Waterville. The project area begins at mile marker 134 and extends south to mile marker 112. The project will perform paving, update guardrail, and improve drainage.
Work is scheduled to begin on Sunday, May 4, and be completed in the fall of this year. This project will involve night work occurring between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday to Saturday. Drivers should expect a single-lane width reduction during this time.
The contractor on this project is All States Construction of Richmond. The contract amount is approximately $9.2 million.
