Two new exhibits open at Triangle Gallery during Rockland First Friday Art Walk
ROCKLAND — Two new exhibitions will open at Triangle Gallery during First Friday ArtWalk in Rockland, May 2, from 4 to 7 p.m.
"Jaap Helder: Paintings 2020 - 2025" will be shown from May 1 to June 1. From a statement written by David Estey, “Jaap Helder is a painter’s painter. His intuitive abstracts celebrate and stand on the beauty of the paint – the luscious colors, textures and juxtaposition. Whatever imagery, objects, mood or narrative may have inspired the work or storyline the viewer might choose to see, it’s all about the paint. He masterfully orchestrates the elements and principles of design into an improvisation that speaks to our visual senses in a visceral way that we don’t need to understand in order to appreciate.”
"Twenty Four And So Much More" celebrates the gallery’s second anniversary with a show of new work by gallery artists. Check the Triangle Gallery website, trianglegallery8elm.com, for more info.
Triangle Gallery is located at 8 Elm Street in Rockland, Maine. Spring hours are noon - 4pm Wednesday through Saturday, by chance, or by appointment. For more information, call 593- 8300 or go to our website at trianglegallery8elm.com or instagram @trianglegallery8elm.
