Owls Head Fire Company leaders hear another personnel complaint
OWLS HEAD — The Owls Head Fire Company Board of Directors and the town's three selectmen, who are all members of the board, discussed another personnel complaint filed internally within the Owls Head Fire Department in a special meeting convened July 11.
While the board would not disclose the nature of the complaint, Company President Tim Sternberg said the complaint had been filed by Fire Chief Frank Ross against Deputy Fire Chief Bruce Colson. Ross was not present at the meeting, which began at 6:30 p.m. at the Owls Head Community Building on Ash Point Drive. After five minutes in an open meeting, the board then voted to go into executive session.
The board remained behind closed doors for approximately an hour and when they emerged they made no motions, except to adjourn.
This meeting follows the regularly scheduled company directors' meeting of July 8, when the fire department's oversight organization heard a complaint filed by Deputy Fire Chief Bruce Colson against Fire Chief Frank Ross. That complaint concerned the circulation of alleged improper emails.
