Reported pipe bomb prompts evacuation of Rockland Walmart store

ROCKLAND — A report of a pipe bomb in the women's restroom at Walmart prompted Rockland police to evacuate the store Thursday afternoon.
Rockland Fire Department was called to respond to the store, located at 265 Camden St. (Route 1) at 2:04 p.m.
According to Deputy Chief Wally Tower, someone phoned in the report of the bomb.
"We went in, found nothing and cleared the scene," said Tower.
An investigation into the report remains open pending additional information.
