NORWELL, Mass. — Linda P. Hanlon, 65, died unexpectedly April 25, 2013, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Mass., surrounded by family and close friends. Linda was born Dec. 19, 1947, in Weymouth, Mass., the daughter of Douglass & Mona Payson of Rockport. Upon graduation from Norwell High School, she attended Ithaca College. She also attended Boston University while employed full time and earned her Bachelor of Liberal Studies in psychology and education and her Master of Education in adult education. She held various managerial positions in the telecommunications industry from 1967­ to 1994. As a consultant from 1995-2008, she provided Verizon and WebMD with training development and business analysis.

Her husband of 20 years, Carl F. Hanlon of Dedham, Mass., predeceased her in 1999. Linda is survived by a large extended family through her marriage to Carl and close friends. She cherished her nieces and nephews and their families and the children and grandchildren of her close friends.

Linda was a wonderful, caring and giving person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Private burial was held in Seaview Cemetery in Rockport May 8, 2013.
