Ann was born at Mill Creek on the island. She was predeceased by her father, George William Boardman; her mother, Louraina Boardman; brothers Vernon Leach, George Boardman; sisters Cora Leach Murray, Shirley Leach Korandanis and Alice Boardman St. Clair Friend, and some favorite aunts, uncles and cousins, John "Babe" Yeaton, Una Yeaton Speed, Billy DeWolf, Paul and Eileen Boardman, John Boardman and so many more.

 

Ann graduated from Camden High School. She loved spending time with family and friends, feeding birds, gardening, animals, beach combing for sea glass and the Boston Red Sox. Among other things, she was noted for keeping a meticulously clean house and her apple pie.

 

Ann is survived by her daughter Alanna Boardman Thomas Brown and her husband, Matthew; sons Peter Thomas and Thomas A. Thomas; five grandchildren Reuben, Autumn, Zachery, Thomas and Mary; four great-grandchildren Tristan, Harper, Morgan and Luna.

 

Per her wishes, Ann's ashes will be privately placed at her parent's graves located at The Maple Grove Cemetery on the island. When you visit there, you may find that special piece of sea glass for remembrance.

 

Ann loved a good cup of tea so mark your calendar for Monday, Nov. 23, (Ann's Birthday) at 1 p.m. at The Boardman Cottage for Tea.

 

One of Ann's favorite cousins, Billy, said that "Ann was the quintessential Maine woman, Lovely and Strong.”
