Islesboro Police beat: Stolen boat, hunting stands, cameras
ISLESBORO — Islesboro Public Safety Director Fred Porter reports the following activity Aug. 22-Sept. 31 for the Islesboro Police Department. The department received or responded to 54 calls for service, including nine radar details, six theft complaints, and 39 other complaints.
An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceedings.

Theft investigations
Porter is investigating the thefts of two hunting stands and two hunting cameras. Any help from the community to locate the stolen items would be appreciated.
Officer Darren Nadeau is currently investigating the theft of a boat from the southeast end of Islesboro. The boat was recovered in Northport and at this point police feel that the incident is the continuance of thefts committed in two other counties. No other information is available.
