Sedgwick crash claims woman’s life

Maine State Police said a woman died on the Snows Cove Road in Sedgwick when her car struck a utility pole just before 11 a.m., Sept. 24.
Nancy Blastow, 70, died at the scene, police said.
Investigation indicates that her vehicle crossed the centerline and entered the ditch, she then corrected and lost control and struck a telephone pole, said the Maine Dept. of Public Safety.
Sedgwick Fire Department and Peninsula ambulance responded and assisted on scene. The road was closed while crews replaced downed wires and the broken pole. The crash was reported just before 11 AM.
