State Police arrest man wanted in connection with Unity home invasion
AUGUSTA — Maine State Police Sunday announced that a Waterville transient, who was wanted in connection with a March 5 home invasion and robbery in Unity, has been apprehended.
Trooper Bethany Robinson arrested Danny Green, 27, and charged him with burglary and robbery.
Green is one of four people who police said were involved in an early morning home invasion on Wanning Road, where a 72-year-old woman was woken up by three men in dark clothing in her bathroom. After breaking in around 1 pm., the trio demanded drugs and money, and police said they made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
They fled the home but were later caught after police followed tracks that led to a store with surveillane video.
Charged along with Green, but arrested last week, were Paige Lanctot, 19, of Skowhegan, Alexander Salvas, 18, of Skowhegan, and Bryan Gower, 22, of Waterville.
Lanctot and Salvas were arrested March 5 in Skowhegan. Lanctot was charged with criminal conspiracy and freed on $1,000 bail. Salvas was charged with burglary and robbery and is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Gower, arrested March 8, was also charged with burglary and robbery and remains in jail on $5,000 bail.
"A huge thank you to all of our Facebook fans in helping get the word out as it made a difference in his [Green's] apprehension," said Maine State Police on their Facebook page Sunday afternoon.
