Waldoboro Police beat: Stolen car seat, purse, accidents
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 136 calls for service from Sept. 19-26. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sept. 19
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen about stolen hot water tank coils.
Sept. 20
Fuller investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 12:40 p.m. John Gatcombe, 84, of Waldoboro, backed out of parking stall and struck a parked vehicle belonging to Shirley Cline, 69, of Spruce Head, pushing it into a parked vehicle belonging to Martha Klay, 63, of Barrington, Mass.
Sgt. Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen about criminal mischief to his barn.
Sept. 23
Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen about a stolen purse and a child car seat.
Fuller investigated an accident at the Atlantic Highway/Jefferson Street intersection at 3:51 p.m. Heather Do, 22, of Waldoboro, was stopped on Jefferson Street, started into traffic in front of Jennifer Miller, 48, of Rockland, who was traveling northbound on the Atlantic Highway.
