Waldoboro Police beat: Speeding 30 miles over speed limit, stolen purse
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 115 calls for service from July 17-25. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
July 20
Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen about stolen money.
Christopher Horan, 35, of Auburn, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for speeding 30 plus miles over the speed limit, uninspected motor vehicle, fail to show proof of insurance, and operator consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public way.
July 22
Officer John Lash is investigating a report from a citizen about her stolen phone.
Lash investigated an accident on the Friendship Rd at 11:42 p.m. Alexander Held, 29, of Thomaston, was driving a 2007 Toyota sedan. Held was traveling southbound following the roadway, operating vehicle in an erratic, reckless, careless, negligent or aggressive manner, lost control and rolled his vehicle causing it to land in opposite side of roadway. The operator was issued a summons for operating under the influence. Injuries were reported.
July 23
A 16-year-old female, of Damariscotta, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for operating a vehicle without a license.
July 25
Aaron Waltz, 44, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle.
