Waldoboro Police beat: Criminal mischief at Medomak Valley High School and while clamming
WALDOBORO - Waldoboro police responded to 309 calls for service from June 29-July 7. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
June 30
Officer Larry Hesseltine is investigating a report from the Medomak Valley High School of criminal mischief with paint on the hiking trail.
July 1
Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident on Washington Road at 6:50 a.m. Colleen Lopes, 37, of Waldoboro, was driving a 1999 Mercury utility vehicle. Lopes’ vehicle was travelling northbound, following roadway and ran off the roadway. No injuries were reported.
Officer Larry Hesseltine arrested Colleen Lopes, 37, of Waldoboro, for operating under the influence. Lopes was also charged with uninspected motor vehicle and failure to show proof of insurance.
Corey Main, 40, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Thomas Bartunek on a warrant.
July 3
Michael Washburn, 20, of Skowhegan, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for unregistered motor vehicle.
Michael Dunbar, 51, of Fla., was issued a summons by Spear for speed for travelling 72 mph in a 55 zone.
Paul Heino, 40, of Thomaston, was issued a summons by Spear for failure to show proof of insurance.
July 3
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from a resident that someone damaged a lock on her garage.
Ricky Real, 37, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Spear for domestic violence assault.
Kaitlin Callahan, 31, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Spear for assault.
July 6
Chief William Labombarde is investigating a report from a resident that while he was clamming, criminal mischief was done to the windows in his parked vehicle.
