Waldoboro Police beat: Arrest warrants, slashed tires
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 131 calls for service from July 10-17. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
July 10
Philip Libby, 30, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Spear for operating a motor vehicle with an expired license.
July 11
Denise Bizer, 50, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Andrew Santheson for failure to register a motor vehicle.
Lilly Lee Winchenbach, 21, of Round Pond, was issued a summons by Santheson for failure to register a motor vehicle.
July 13
Sgt. Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen that she is receiving harassing text messages.
July 14
Shane Sykes, 27, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Larry Hesseltine on a warrant.
July 15
A 17-year-old male, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Spear for operating a vehicle without a license.
Corey Main, 44, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Spear on a warrant.
Officer John Lash investigated an accident on the Orffs Corner Road at 9:34 p.m. Benjamin Carter, 15, of Jefferson, was operating a 2000 Lincoln sedan. Carter was traveling northbound, following the roadway, drove too fast for conditions, and went off the side of the road, striking a utility pole. No injuries were reported.
July 16
Spear is investigating a report from a citizen that someone slashed his vehicle tires.
July 17
Spear is investigating a report from a citizen that someone stole her medication.
