WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 264 calls for service from Oct. 2-10. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Oct. 2                                                 

Kenneth St. Pierre, 32, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Officer Justin Hills for aggravated criminal mischief.

Oct. 3          

Officer Nathaniel Jack investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 12:15 p.m. Joshua Colgan, 32, of Jefferson, was traveling northbound, following the roadway on the Atlantic Highway, and struck Heather Ellsworth, 49, of Warren, who was traveling northbound slowing in traffic, striking Angela Turner, 38, of Friendship, who was northbound, stopped in traffic, striking Robert Huntley,77, of Portland, who was northbound stopped in traffic and Robert Stewart, 69, of Newcastle, who was also northbound stopped in traffic.

Oct. 4          

Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a burglary report from a citizen.

Oct. 5          

Shannon Cochrane, 43, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Jack for operating after suspension and violation of conditional release.

Officer Dwight Jones is investigating a report from a citizen that he is receiving harassing text messages.

Oct. 9          

Kyle Macdougall, 40, of Union, was issued a summons by Jack for speeding.

Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report from a citizen that she is being harassed.

Kathleen Simmons, 50, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Bartunek on a warrant.
