BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Department reported the following activity July 9-14. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. 

July 9

Travis N. Carson, 40, of Brooks, was issued summonses for operating under the influence and driving to endanger on Old County Road in Knox, stemming from an incident May 30.

July 10

Stephen A. Smith, 27, of Brooks, was issued a summons for criminal speeding (74 mph in a 45 mph zone) on Belfast Road in Northport.

Alyssa R. Brann, 20, of Clinton, was issued a summons for operating without a license on Route 9 in Troy. 

Deputy Daniel Thompson responded to the scene of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Bangor Road and Bagley Hill Road in Troy. The operator of one vehicle was waiting to turn left onto Bangor Road from Bagley Hill Road, where their view was obstructed by a guardrail and bushes. The vehicle turned in front of an oncoming vehicle, which was unable to avoid striking it in the rear end. The oncoming vehicle then continued in a skid, striking an embankment and rolling over. The driver of the first vehicle, a 2002 Mercury, was transported to Waldo County General Hospital for neck pain. The driver of the second vehicle, a 2002 Nissan, was transported for a broken jaw. Both vehicles were towed. 

July 13

Charles R. Henry, 26, of Morrill, was issued summonses for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a usable amount of marijuana and violating conditions of release on Lang Hill Highway in Brooks.

Stephen W. Lee, 24, of Unity, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation on Lang Hill Highway in Brooks.

Tyler Redman, 19, of Swanville, was arrested for a probation hold, possession of schedule X drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia.   

Stephen P. McFadden, 45, of Swanville, was issued summonses for operating under the influence, operating after suspension, attaching false plates and aggravated driving to endanger on Oak Hill Road in Swanville.
