Rockport Town Manager Search Committee gets down to business
ROCKPORT — The committee appointed by the Rockport Select Board to conduct a search for a town manager convenes for the first time this evening. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Richardson Room of the Rockport Town Office.
At the outset, the committee will elect a chairman and vice-chairman before entering executive session to begin the work of talking about candidates.
The committee on the current town manager search was selected following a one-hour executive session Feb. 7. Its members include:
Julie Clement
Jerod Cronkite
Clark Doran
Kerry Leichtman, current assessor for the Town of Rockport
Jennifer Roper
Maggie Timmermann
Maynard Tolman
Current Town Manager Rick Bates is retiring from his position in June.
Select Board member Jeff Hamilton was chosen as the Select Board liaison (ex-officio member) to the committee.
