Rockport Select Board meets to talk about what to meet about
ROCKPORT — Select Board members will gather at 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon, Dec. 3., at the West Rockport Fire Station to set the agenda for the Monday, Dec. 10, Select Board meeting. The fire station meeting is categorized as a workshop, meaning no votes will be taken on any issue. Board members will talk about town business as it relates to discussion at the next full board meeting. The meeting is open to the public.
This is the second time this fall that the board has convened to talk about what to talk about. They will also address whether to continue this new practice of meeting to set agendas.
It is not uncommon to hold agenda-setting meetings: Rockland's City Council does it every month, often addressing procedural issues relating to budgetary and goal-setting processes. Rockland is also meeting Dec. 3 to set its Dec. 10 agenda, with Council members gathering at 6:30 in Council Chambers.
Rockport's draft Dec. 10 agenda, which will be under discussion Monday afternoon, Dec. 3, includes:
A request to purchase town-owned property by Warrenton St. resident Anne Perschon. The property is adjacent to her property.
