Rockport recognizes Police Sgt. Jim Moore for service
ROCKPORT — Rockport Police Sgt. Jim Moore was recognized Aug. 20 with a certificate of appreciation for his five years of service with the department.
Police Chief Randy Gagne made the presentation to Moore at the Rockport police department.
“Jim’s hard work and dedication to the town and citizens of Rockport is greatly appreciated,” Gagne said.
Moore responded to the recognition on the Rockport Police Department’s Facebook page.
“It doesn't seem like it has been five years since I started in Rockport,” Moore said. “I do know we couldn't do what we do without the support of the citizens of Rockport. It has been my pleasure to work here. It also wouldn't be possible without the support we receive from home, those at the town office and other town departments and, especially, those we work with directly at the police department. Thank you everyone for helping to make it the place to work.”
Moore was hired by Rockport in 2015 as a patrol officer and promoted to sergeant in May 2017.
