Rockport leaders talk about potential projects, staff
ROCKPORT — Members of the Rockport Select Board and Budget Committee, as well as chairmen of various other committees, will convene tonight with Rockport department heads to discuss possible capital improvements and employee changes that might be on their individual horizons.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Rockport Opera House meeting room and is open to the public.
The town initiated the tradition of holding such an informal discussion four years ago, and Town Manager Robert Peabody characterizes it as a "heads up" series of conversations about future developments and projects. It is also a chance for department heads to present what issues might be affecting their department's performance, current and future.
Public Works Director Steve Beveridge will also describe what sort of roads projects he has on the table for this coming year.
Because the meeting qualifies as a workshop, the Select Board will take no votes.
