ROCKLAND — Rockland Fire Department is on the scene of a fire on Prescott Street Tuesday night. The call came in just before 8 p.m. Prescott Street is located a few blocks behind the fire station on Park Street (Route 1), between Broadway and Orange Street.

Rockland Asst. Chief Adam Miceli reported a small outbuilding behind a home, about 10 feet from the nearest structure, was fully involved. Fire crews are on scene now, putting out the fire.

Rockport Fire Department was called for mutual aid, and an engine is standing by at the Rockland fire station in case of another call.
