ROCKLAND – The citizens of Rockland turned out to celebrate a Memorial Day parade that started at Boston Financial and stopped for a ceremony at Veterans Memorial Square on the corners of Park and Main streets before proceeding down Main Street.
Walker Hutchins served as master of ceremonies for an honor guard, the pledge of allegiance, the wreath ceremony, a reading of a poem by Rockland's poet Laureate, Carol Bachofner, and invocation by the Rev. Bob Vaillancourt, all organized by Gary Henry for his 12th year.
