Robert A. 'Bob' Jacobson, obituary
WARREN — Robert A. "Bob" Jacobson, 61, died Dec. 27, 2012, surrounded by his family, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a six-year battle with Leukemia.
Born in Camden Feb. 25, 1951, he was the son of Raymond and Doris Chaples Jacobson. Bob grew up in Tenants Harbor where he attended St. George schools and was a 1969 graduate of Georges Valley High School.
He married Patsy L. McLain in Thomaston July 2, 1971.
For 12 years, he worked at the Thomaston Cement Plant. More recently he worked as a landscaper for several local landscaping companies.
An avid bow hunter since a young age, Bob was a charter member of the Maine Traditional Archers. He found great joy in teaching his grandchildren about archery, and took them to annual shoots sponsored by the MTA. Hunting and fishing were other passions he often enjoyed, but more than the sport he enjoyed the opportunity for camaraderie with family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Patsy, of Warren; his parents of Rockland; one son, Michael Jacobson and his companion, Jo-Ann Christian, of Gardiner; two daughters and their husbands, Jennifer and Michael Katz of Mountain View, Calif., and Rachael and Matthew Jones of Manchester; five grandchildren, Gabriel, Noah, and Ilana Jones, and Olivia and Isla Katz.
At Bob's request, no services will be held.
