Midcoast banding together for more Hurricane Sandy relief
LINCOLNVILLE — Millions of people in New York and New Jersey are still in great need following the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy. The AFAM Maine Masonic Brothers of King David's Lodge in Lincolnville has partnered with Global Packing & Shipping in Camden to aid with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
King David's Lodge is hosting a benefit spaghetti dinner Saturday, Dec. 1, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Lincolnville Central School. During the benefit dinner, Sarah Pratt, owner of GPS, will have a van parked outside the school as a drop-off point for donations. Suggested items and goods include non-perishable food, water, blankets, towels and diapers for babies, for distribution to areas affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Minimum donation for dinner and dessert is $8 per person, and there be a donation box available for further monetary gifting. Cash proceeds will go toward American Red Cross Hurricane Relief.
