Maine State Police hunt for murder suspect
PARKMAN — The Maine Office of Public Safety issued a “wanted” notice this morning following the death of a woman last week in Parkman.
State Police said an arrest warrant has been issued for the man they have been looking for since Friday in connection with a homicide in Parkman. An arrest warrant was authorized this morning by the Attorney General’s Office charging Robert Burton with murder in connection with the death of his former girlfriend, Stephanie Gebo.
Police located his black Toyota pickup over the weekend. In addition, a second truck stolen overnight has been located this morning. Both vehicles are in Piscataquis County, but the locations are not being released at this time.
The Toyota pickup is owned by Burton and police think he is also responsible for the stolen truck, according to the police.
Burton is considered armed and dangerous and anyone seeing him should call police immediately, 973-3700 or 911.
The body of 37-year-old Stephanie Ginn Gebo was discovered inside her home by her two children.
Burton lived at the home, at 46 Kulas Road in Parkman, until last weekend.
