Tue, 04/21/2020 - 3:45pm
The Maine Department of Transportation has begun replacing 355 traffic signal heads at 42 intersections between Boothbay Harbor and Ellsworth. The upgraded signals will provide higher visibility to improve driver safety, according to MDOT, in a news release.
The affected intersections are in Boothbay Harbor, Bucksport, Damariscotta, Ellsworth, Prospect, Rockland, Rockport, Thomaston, Waldoboro, and Warren.
“We expect there will be minimal impacts to traffic while this work is being done,” said MDOT.
The contractor on this project is Dagle Electrical Construction Corporation of Plaistow, New Hampshire.
The project is expected to be finished by the end of June.
