Lincolnville police beat
LINCOLNVILLE — Lincolnville Police Department reported the following activity for the period ending May 17, 2013. A summons or arrest does not imply quilt.
April 29
Chief Ron Young responded to a welfare check on Old Pine Road and a 29-year-old male was transported to Waldo County Hospital for evaluation. While being evaluated at the hospital, the subject became combative and assaulted Young in his chest and shoulder. The man was restrained and subdued by Young, who was treated for minor injuries. The incident is being investigated by Belfast Police Department and further charges are pending.
• Police conducted an agency assist on Heal Road in attempting to locate a wanted person. No contact was made.
May 3
• Police responded to a reported motor vehicle complaint on Atlantic Highway. No contact was made.
May 6
• Police responded to a reported fire complaint at Tanglewood 4-H Camp. Lincolnville Fire Department was on scene investigating a possible electrical issue; no fire.
• Police conducted a welfare check on Garner Lane. The person was fine.
May 7
• Police responded to an alarm activation complaint on Morton Road. The alarm was determined unfounded.
May 9
• Police conducted an agency assist on Heal Road in attempting to locate a person wanted for writing fraudulent checks. A 20-year-old female was taken into custody and the incident remains under investigation.
• Police responded to a suspicious activity complaint on Heal Road. A search of a vehicle resulted in confiscation of prescription drugs, usable amounts of scheduled narcotic drugs, several drug apparatus items, including needles, syringes, spoons and other drug paraphernalia. The incident remains under investigation.
May 10
• Police responded to Thurlow Road for an attempt-to-locate complaint. No contact was made with the person.
• Police conducted a requested traffic enforcement detail on Atlantic Highway.
• Police received a reported alarm activation complaint on Whitney Road. The complaint was cancelled as unfounded prior to Young's arrival.
• Police received a reported assault complaint on Main Street. The dispute was resolved by the reporting complainant and no further action was taken.
• Police responded to an attempt to locate on Masalin Road. No contact was made.
• Police responded to Tuva Trail in regard to a suspicious activity complaint.
May 13
• Police conducted a radar detail on Slab City Road. No violations were reported.
• Police received a reported alarm activation complaint on Whitney Road. The alarm was cancelled by the security company.
May 14
• Police responded to a reported counterfeit money complaint on Hope Road. It was determined no further action should be taken.
• Police received a reported alarm activation complaint on Marriners Drive.
Chief Young responded to a reported assault complaint at Lincolnville Central School. Several students being transported to a secondary school became engaged in a fight, which erupted on the bus; the juveniles were dealt with and released.
May 16
Gene Harriman, 60, of Belmont, was summonsed for speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone on Main Street.
• Police responded to a reported 911 call on Slab City Road and determined the call had been placed in error.
• Police responded to Belfast Road for a reported violation of conditional release complaint.
May 17
• Isaac Young, 38, of Lincolnville, was arrested by Chief Young on outstanding warrants for class C felony burglary, theft by unauthorized taking, criminal trespass and violation of conditional release following an attempt to locate complaint request from Camden Police Detective Curt Andrick. Young was transported to Knox County Jail.
• Police responded to a reported alarm activation complaint on Slab City Road, where it was determined the building was secure and the alarm unfounded.
• Police responded to a reported alarm activation on Mullin's Bog Road. No foul play was determined.
• Chief Young responded to a reported motor vehicle complaint of an erratic driver on Atlantic Highway. Young made contact with the driver and determined they had been distracted and were not impaired.
