Library, marijuana, pathways: Rockport Select Board candidates discuss the issues
If you missed the May 31 Rockport Select Board candidates’ forum, where seven citizens explained their positions on various municipal issues, not to worry. Click here on the Livestream recording of the forum to listen.
Questions from the public for candidates Geoff Parker, Bill Chapman, Anastasia Fischer, Doug Cole, Tom Gray, Ted Skowronksi, and Mark Kelley included opinions on marijuana social clubs, pathways along Route 90, a new library, municipal infrastructure and more.
There are two open three-year seats on the Select Board, currently occupied by Chairman Bill Chapman and Geoff Parker. The incumbents are both running again, and are now facing four others: Ted Skowronski, Anastasia Ileana Fischer, Doug Cole and Mark Kelley.
There were two candidates who took out papers to fill a Select Board seat that was vacated earlier in April when Brendan Riordan resigned, but only one, Thomas Gray, returned his papers.
