Knox County deputies call for multi-agency assistance following alleged domestic incident
SOUTH THOMASTON — Law enforcement agencies were put on alert Wednesday morning, Feb. 5, with the orders to stop and hold a man for questioning following a domestic incident in South Thomaston.
Knox County deputies are investigating the circumstances leading up to the arrest of Joshua J. Scholz, 42, of South Thomaston.
On the morning of February 5, at approximately 6:55 a.m., the Knox Regional Communications Center received a 911 call reporting an alleged domestic incident at a residence on Hill Street. According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived in the area and found that the suspect had fled the scene.
Following the request for all law enforcement agencies to keep an eye out, Rockland Police Department located Scholz at a gas station in the South End of Rockland a short time later.
Scholz was arrested by Deputy Juan Alcala for Domestic Violence Assault Class C and Obstructing the Report of a Crime Class D. He is currently being held at the Knox County Correctional Facility with no bail allowed.
The incident is still under investigation.
