Knox County Democratic Committee hosts Legislative town hall for local representatives

A Knox County Legislator Town Hall held March 28 in Rockland was a powerful and insightful event.
The Knox County Democratic Committee collaborated with moderator Arleigh Kraus to assemble five Knox County Representatives and Senator Pinny Beebe-Center in an informal town hall-style setting to talk about the current issues working their way through the Maine Legislature and how the current presidential administration is threatening the economy, independence and stability of Maine.
More than 200 people attended in person and through Zoom. People left with an appreciation of the complex and risk-laden issues Maine faces today.
It was also clear that this period of political instability will have lasting consequences on the economy and political stability of this state.
The Knox Dems are committed to bringing more such opportunities to our communities. The town hall was brought together through the efforts of Arleigh Kraus, who conceived the event and engaged the panel, the First Unitarian Universalist Church for hosting and the Knox Dem volunteers that made the evening run smoothly.
The panel included Senator Pinny Beebe-Center, Representative Vicki Doudera, Representative Valli Geiger, Representative Ann Matlack, Representative Bill Pluecker and Representative Mike Ray.
