AUGUSTA — In observance of Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 28, Governor Janet Mills has directed state offices to close at noon Wednesday, Nov. 27. 

“Thanksgiving is a time for Maine people to gather with family, friends and loved ones, to appreciate life’s blessings, and to welcome others to our tables, homes and hearts,” said Gov. Mills in a statement.

Gov. Mills, in her statement, noted she hopes the early closure will provide state employees the opportunity to spend more time with those they love.
