At 10:43 p.m. the Waldo County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash. At the scene, Deputy Daniel Thompson and Sergeant James Greeley, along with Troy and Unity fire departments, found a 2001 Chevrolet Impala that had crashed into the ditch and hit some trees. There were four people in the vehicle and the driver and front passenger had to be extricated with JAWS equipment.
