CAMDEN — Two ordinance amendments were passed by Camden voters. The measures to loosen regulations governing nonconforming use, business or residential, were approved 1,704 to 1,135. The nonconforming use changes allow property owners the option of going before the Zoning Board of Appeals, and possibly the Planning Board (if a site plan review is required for larger expansions) for permission to expand a building or parking footprint on lot. And, the amendment to adjust the size and placement of business signs, and/or sandwich boards in town was also approved, 1,772 to 1,186.
